Cheerful Cards

One of the things I love about Creative Memories Power Palettes is how everything matter which pieces you are working with. I was working on a layout using the Cheerful Power Palette -

and I ended up with a bunch of scraps on my table. Rather than sorting them or tidying them up, I whipped up two everyday cards to add to my card box. I didn't think or plan much...I just used the pieces that were there!

For the "thankful" card, I trimmed a scrap of the green polka dot tone-on-tone paper with the new scallop rotary trimmer blade, threaded a piece of the paper ribbon (doesn't it look like real grosgrain ribbon?) through a paper tag and finished it off with one the the clear title stickers, all from the Cheerful Power Palette.

For the "Life was good today" card, I trimmed and layered scrap pieces of designer paper, yellow and white cardstock and topped it off with another clear title sticker. I added 5 paper buttons and doodled some faux stitching with the black dual-tip pen. Both cards were quick and easy and just used basic tools and components from the Power Paletter I was already working with. I love that I can add a couple of extra cards to my stash to send along to someone to brighten their day, with so little time and effort!

Cheerful is one of the Power Palettes I use most coordinates so well with the bright clothes and toys that always seem to show up in the photos I take of my two busy boys. And it's on sale this month along with all the other Power Palettes for only $54.00! Take a look to see which Power Palette fits your photos best, then contact me if you'd like to take advantage of the sale, or shop on my website 24/7.

Happy Scrapping!
