At our Calgary Crops scrapbooking retreat last spring, I used our page challenge as a chance to complete a layout about Christmas 2010 for our Christmas Album. Carla supplied the sketch from one of the fabulous CTMH idea books, and I used Creative Memories Cheerful Christmas Addition to complete this two page spread:
The patterned papers, cardstock stickers and clear title/word stickers that came with this CM kit were super cute on their own, so I just added some solid cardstock in coordinating colors, white craft ink to highlight the edges and some bakers twine to complete the layout.
I love using sketches (I call my own sketches "Page Plans") for quick layouts as well as the basis for more decorative pages. You can do as much or as little as you want to the layout and you know it will be beautiful.
Our current family Christmas Album is getting pretty full, so I think I might be ready for a new one. I am debating between these two beauties:
I am leaning towards the Noel Album as it is a little more traditional and would coordinate with our previous family Christmas album, but I can't deny the appeal of the cool blue Holidazzle album. Which would you choose?
Have a great day!
